ARAN's story

ARAN was founded on a question.

“Why do some businesses grow into enduring enterprises while others, despite having capable owners and strong products, never realise their full potential?”

During his Chartered Accountancy Articleship and independent consulting engagements, Dhanush found that business owners rarely wanted to discuss tax returns, audit or compliance alone. Instead, they asked bigger questions:

  • How do we grow?
  • How do we improve cash flow?
  • How do we build better systems?
  • Which business structure is right for us?
  • What's holding our business back?

Those conversations highlighted a gap. While large corporations have access to specialist advisors and consulting firms, many SMEs, manufacturers, family-owned businesses, and new & second-generation entrepreneurs often lack practical business advisory tailored to their needs.

Another perspective helped shape that answer.
Anandhakrishnan's nearly three decades as Head of Finance & Management for a diversified regional conglomerate demonstrated how disciplined financial management, structured systems, and informed decision-making are fundamental to building sustainable business. Together, these experiences led to the founding of ARAN.

The name ARAN, derived from the Tamil word for strength and protection, reflects ARAN's purpose: to provide businesses with a strong foundation through practical advice in taxation, finance, compliance, and business strategy.

Founder

Nearly three decades in finance, governance and operations

For nearly three decades, Anandhakrishnan has worked at the centre of business decision-making. His experience extends beyond finance into strategic planning, taxation, financing, governance, compliance, operations and organisational management.

Having overseen the finance and administrative functions of more than 30 companies across diversified industries and around 20 educational institutions, he understands the challenges business owners face because he has spent his career helping organisations navigate them.

Today he works closely with entrepreneurs and business owners to strengthen financial management, improve business performance, and support thoughtful, informed decision-making.

Dhanush BA is a CA Finalist and a B.Com (Honours) graduate from Christ University, Bengaluru. His practice focuses on GST and income tax litigation, tax advisory, and business consulting.

Working with entrepreneurs, manufacturers, SMEs and family-owned businesses, he helps clients navigate taxation and regulatory matters while keeping sight of the broader business implications behind every decision.

His approach combines technical knowledge with practical thinking, helping businesses resolve complex issues with clarity and confidence.
